The City of Benton is accepting sealed bids for the Benton Historic District Survey RFQ. Specifications are available in the bid section of www.bentonar.org. Bids must be submitted to the Procurement Department in a sealed envelope with the notation of "Benton Historic District RFQ" on the outside. Faxed, emailed, and late bids will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the bid to the bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The scope of work includes: o A survey report including project methodology, current conditions within the district, a modernized map of the district, and a matrix/spreadsheet with basic details for each documented site o A completed AHPP survey form for every building, object, and site within the district boundaries. This will include pocket parks, statues, and vacant lots. o Provide 3-5 current photos of each surveyed site to accompany the survey forms. These are to be taken from the public ROW only. Interior photos are not necessary. o Archival and/or online research may be necessary to determine how and when buildings were altered. o Tentative start date for this project is June 1, 2026 with a completion date of December 31, 2026.
