Site work for a civil project in Galena, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Flood repair construction services are required for the Galena 2024 Event PL84-99 Flood Repairs Project in Galena, Illinois. Work consists of storm sewer repairs at two locations: the intersection of Green Street and Water Street (Repair Area 1) and the area near the intersection of Hill Street and Water Street (Repair Area 2). Construction activities will occur on public roads and City sewer easements. At Repair Area 1, work includes construction of a new manhole at the existing intersection of the pressurized sewer line and the City-owned 30-inch storm sewer line. At Repair Area 2, work includes installation of a new connection between City-owned structure MH-86 and Corps-owned structure MH-89 using a new 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe storm main. Existing brick manhole MH-86 shall be removed and replaced with a standard concrete manhole. At both repair locations, the existing Corps-owned pressurized storm line shall be abandoned and filled with grout from the headwall to the new work limits, and two damaged headwalls shall be removed. Construction is planned for completion during the 2026 construction season. Location: Galena, IL 61036.
