Electronic bids are requested for the construction of a new shop at the Shadehill Recreation Area for Game, Fish & Parks in Lemmon, South Dakota. Bidders must obtain Plans and Specifications for the purpose of submitting a bid on the project and agree that these documents remain the property of the State. Each bid exceeding $100,000.00 must be accompanied by either a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for 5% of the base bid and all add alternates, or an uploaded copy of a 10% bid bond from an authorized surety. The Game, Fish & Parks reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities. Any person who plans to bid on the project may submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation of any part of the Plans and Specifications or Contract Documents. Requests for interpretations shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the opening of bids. This work shall include, but not be limited to: the removal and disposal of buildings, fences, structures, pavements; sawing of pavements prior to removal; and removal and disposal or salvage of abandoned pipe lines, pipe culverts, and other obstructions which are not designated or permitted to remain, except for obstructions to be removed and disposed of under other items in the contract. It shall also include the salvaging of designated materials and backfilling the resulting trenches, holes, and pits. When the proposal does not include pay items for removal items as set out in this section, such work shall be performed under various other contract items. There will NOT be a pre-bid meeting.
