Sealed bids are requested for the construction of the 2026 Multi-Community Asphalt Surface Treatment, which involves Asphalt Surface Treatment of various streets in the cities of Howard, Tyndall, and Madison, South Dakota. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, certified or issued by a state or national bank, payable to the City of Madison on behalf of the group of cities, or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, issued by a surety authorized to do business in South Dakota and payable to the City of Madison on behalf of the group of cities. This guarantees the bidder will enter into a contract in accordance with the bid if awarded. At contract execution, the contractor must furnish surety in an amount not less than the contract price for the faithful performance of the contract, and ensure payment to all labor and materials suppliers. Proof of liability insurance and workman's compensation insurance must be provided. The cities of Howard, Tyndall, and Madison reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive any defects therein.
