Sealed bids are being received for chip sealing on a specified section of town road. The work involves a double seal for approximately 3,600 feet on Fischer Creek Road, starting from the intersection of State Hwy 13. Bidders are instructed to mail or deliver sealed bids to the given address. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the maximum bid as a guarantee. A performance bond for 100 percent of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance, and an executed contract will be required from the successful bidder. The contractor must provide certificates of insurance, including worker’s compensation and liability/property insurance in a minimum amount of three million dollars before work begins, and promptly notify the owner of any changes in insurance coverage. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
