Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified/cashier's check in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee. If a check is provided, the original must be delivered to the bid opening address within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities except the time for submitting a bid. The successful bidder will be the responsible bidder in the Board's judgment, most advantageous to the District for the best and most economical completion of the project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply, and non-compliance may result in termination of the contract documents.
