This project consists of abandoning old cable and installing primary cable through conduit in Blackberry Subdivision and off of Miller Road in Geneva. The work includes the installation of new conduits (poly, PVC, and rigid), primary cable, splicing, and associated tasks to replace existing distribution circuits. Additionally, the scope involves installing new conduit, primary cable, splices, terminations, transformer vaults, and transformers for development projects in the City of Geneva. The work may also include boring new cable from cable faults and replacing switchgears, splices, and terminations resulting from unplanned outages. Bidders must submit duplicate sealed proposals in a clearly marked envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's or certified check in the amount of ten percent of the base bid. The contractor and subcontractors are required to pay at least the prevailing wage rates and submit certifications regarding wage compliance and eligibility to bid. Plans, specifications, and construction drawings are available through the City of Geneva Public Works Department.
