The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County will accept sealed proposals to provide design engineering services to replace two bridges on rural local roads near LeRoy, KS. The two bridges are combined into one package of two design engineering contracts. Bridge No. 169 (NBI160997005667) is a 3-span, 130.5 long concrete slab bridge with a 20' roadway width that carries Oxen Road over Turkey Creek approximately four miles west and 1.2 miles south of the town on LeRoy. Coffey County envisions a replacement bridge able to carry legal loads with a 28' roadway width. Bridge No. 156 (NBI 161007905660) is a 2-span, 37' long steel multi-beam bridge with a 15.4' roadway width. It is located on 3rd Road just west of its intersection with Underwood Road, or approximately one mile south and 1.9 miles east of LeRoy. Coffey County envisions a replacement bridge able to carry legal loads with a 28' roadway width. Coffey County has applied for Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program 2027 funding for Bridge No. 169 and for Off-System Bridge Program, FFY 2028 funding for Bridge No. 156. Regardless of construction funding awards for each bridge, Coffey County will go forward with design of the two replacement bridges. Coffey County reserves the right to select a consultant it deems most qualified regardless of proposed fee schedule. The proposal should comment on the appropriateness of the attached Scope of Services. Required or recommended services not included in the attached Scope of Services should be discussed in the proposal. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
