Renovation of a mixed-use development in Topeka, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This construction project requires the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and coordination necessary to relocate the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) from the 6th Floor of Building 1 into renovated space within Building 21. The work includes general construction and alterations, demolition and removal of existing structures, and new construction activities necessary to support the relocation. The scope encompasses plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, interior finishes, and all other work identified in the construction drawings and specifications. The contractor is responsible for full coordination with the VA Contracting Officer and the on-site Contracting Officer's Representative and must ensure all work complies with applicable VA standards, fire and life safety requirements, VA handbooks, and all relevant commercial and industry standards in effect at the time of installation. The period of performance for all work is 300 calendar days. The project also includes full commissioning services for the renovated OIT space in Building 21. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment required to test, balance, and commission building systems to verify proper operation in accordance with the contract documents. In addition, the contractor shall produce complete as-built drawings reflecting all installed work and provide these drawings in PDF format. Security authorization requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required for this project. Location: VA Saint Louis Health Care System, John Cochran Division, Building 21, 915 North Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63106. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the estimated magnitude of the resulting construction price range is estimated to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
