WATER MAIN RELAYS. Located at multiple streets, the contractor is to furnish and install approximately 11,140.00 linear feet of 16", 12", 8" and 6" ductile iron pipe. The city will furnish miscellaneous materials as shown on plans and proposal form. The work includes pavement restoration and must be completed by specified deadlines for designated streets. The contractor must use multiple crews as necessary to meet these deadlines. Instructions to bidders: Submit sealed bids via Bid Express or by email to DPWbids@milwaukee.gov as directed. Bid security of 10% of the base bid is required in the form of bond, certified check, cashier’s check, or cash. For manual bonds submitted electronically, an executed copy must be emailed by the bid due time and the original delivered within 24 hours of being named apparent low bidder. Bidders must submit the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) with certificates. Incomplete or inaccurate SBE plans will render the bid unresponsive. All contractors on contracts of $25,000 or more must complete B2GNow software training for contract compliance and regularly provide subcontractor payment information. Payroll information must be reported via the LCR app. Specific residency, small business enterprise (SBE), and apprenticeship requirements apply.
