Site work for a water / sewer project in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement and abandonment of up to 383 private lead service lines (LSL) in an area generally described as south of the Manitowoc River to Madison Street, between S 10th and S 14th Street. An additional area is located between Red Arrow Park and the UWGB Manitowoc Campus. . Work includes up to 166 full lead service line replacements from the watermain to the water meter, up to 47 replacements of the home portion only (from the curb stop to the water meter), up to 75 replacements of the street portion only (from the watermain to the curb stop), and up to 95 abandonments of unused lead service lines. Work may include, but is not limited to, the procurement of street, plumbing and electrical permits, coordinating and scheduling the installation with the property owner, installation of a new water service line utilizing trenchless technology, abandonment of the LSL, water meter installation, reconnection to the interior water distribution piping, residential cross connection inspection, electrical grounding modifications, and street restoration (if applicable).
