Renovation of a transportation facility in North Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade transportation facility.

The work consists of constructing a suitable workspace at 200 Newport Avenue in Quincy to replace the program space currently housed at 1000 Massachusetts Ave, in Boston. The project includes tenant fit out on the first and second floors of an MBTA owned property, exterior improvements for an accessible building entrance, an outdoor surface and mobility assessment area with fencing, and a new vestibule. Upgrades to the existing 200 Newport Ave facility focus on building interior, exterior, and systems upgrades necessary for the Ride Mobility Program, and building modifications required under a Level II Alteration as dictated by Massachusetts 780 CMR Tenth Edition, Chapter 34 Existing Building Code. Each prospective bidder must be prequalified in accordance with the Authoritys Procedures Governing Classification and Rating of prospective bidders. Only prequalified contractors will be considered eligible to bid. Potential bidders must download and submit a completed Request to Bid Form for approval. Bidders must ensure full opportunity for minority and female construction contractors and comply with Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations, Governors Executive Order No. 481, and all other applicable labor laws. Bid Guaranty, Performance Bond, and Labor and Materials Payment Bond are required. Attendance at both the pre-bid conference and on site inspection is highly recommended for all prospective bidders.   Pre qualification requirements: Each prospective bidder must be prequalified in accordance with the Authoritys Procedures Governing Classification and Rating of prospective bidders only prequalified contractors will be considered eligible to bid. Applications for prequalification will be accepted no less than ten (10) calendar days preceding the bid opening date. Potential bidders must submit a completed Request to Bid Form for approval.
