Road Name: Generator & ATS Replacement at Sunshine Skyway Toll Plazas Limits: Midpoint Total Roadway Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Days: 280 Total Bridge Length: 0.000 Miles Total Proposal Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Execution Days: 10 Special Start Date: N/A Aquis/Flexible Start Time: 14 Description: The work specified under this Contract shall consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the replacement of two (2) existing emergency standby generators, and automatic transfer switches (ATS) including providing temporary portable emergency standby generators at Sunshine Skyway North and South Toll Plazas. The Bidder (Prime Contractor) shall be currently licensed and hold a certification or registration issued by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board as an Electrical Contractor in strict accordance with Chapter 489, Florida Statutes. Prospective bidders who wish to visit the site will need to contact Mr. Sean Fitzgerald at (863) 940-6112 or via email sean.fitzgerald@dot.state.fl.us for scheduling. Question Deadline 05/06/2026 at 5:00 PM ET, Direct all questions to the Department by posting them to the Department's website. Questions posted to this site before 5:00 P.M. (EST) on the tenth calendar day prior to the bid opening, will be responded to by the Department. For questions posted after this deadline, an answer cannot be assured. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
