Manatee County Government is implementing a countywide upgrade of its water meter infrastructure through the WaterWise Manatee initiative. The project includes replacing approximately 150,000 existing water meters with smart meters that automatically transmit water usage data via a private radio network, enabling improved leak detection, more accurate readings, and reduced manual labor for meter collection.
