Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for outdoor lighting for a educational facility; and for paving for a educational facility.
Plans call for a modern middle school to replace Jefferson Middle School including a new gymnasium for the high school. The middle school will take over the current high school gym following the transition. In addition, the project vision calls for a new cafetorium. The school district received $20 million in state funding from Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC). The school plans to match the award with $2.25 million in local funding. As of April 13, 2026, a timeline to select a design firm has not been determined. Information regarding construction manager and general contractor has not been disclosed. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
