Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the City of Eastpointe, as security for the acceptance of the contract. A bid bond on the Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved Surety Company, may be furnished in lieu of a certified check. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. This time frame may be adjusted through material agreement between the Owner and Contractor. The City of Eastpointe reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in the bidding. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, payment, maintenance and guarantee bonds and insurance certificates.
