Renovation of a municipal facility in Posen, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project consists of providing roof reinforcement ("re-roofing") for the Village Hall at 2440 W Walter Zimny Dr. The work includes the following tasks: cleaning the existing roof of all debris and disposing of it off-site, providing deck repairs as necessary (with a supplemental unit price per square for this work), installing Elevate 1.0" Isocyanurate roof insulation (or equivalent) to the existing deck, installing Elevate 60 mil TPO (or equivalent), installing flashings on all projections according to the manufacturer's specifications, supplying and installing a pitch pan at all through roof piping (to be flashed and filled with flexible sealant), supplying and installing walk pads at all rooftop mechanical units, fabricating and installing 24-gauge prefinished steel counter flashing (equivalent or better) around the perimeter parapet walls, and fabricating and installing 24-gauge prefinished steel (equivalent or better) scuppers. Minimum warranties required are a 2-year contractor roofing guarantee and a 20-year manufacturer guarantee. All work must follow IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, adopted 1/1/22, unless otherwise modified. Quotes must include all incidental costs and specify the number of days until completion from issuance of "notice to proceed." All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed and bonded in the Village of Posen and provide sufficient insurance and a performance and payment bond for 100% of the selected quote amount. Permit fees will be waived, but a permit application must be submitted. Question Deadline 04/23/2026 any and all questions should be sent to Kyle Braghini, P.E. (kyle.braghini@hrgreen.com) rovide all the labor, material, equipment, transportation, travel, expenses, and supervision necessary to install a cementitious-urethane flooring used in kitchens and high-traffic areas, as listed in these specifications, at various Lawrence Public Schools Buildings. It is the intent of this invitation for bids to engage a contractor to successfully install cementitious-urethane flooring in school kitchens, bathrooms and entryways throughout the district. A list of the school locations and square footage can be found on the Form of General Bid included in this IFB. Special Conditions The Lawrence Public Schools requires a contracted vendor to provide certified trained installers and project supervision to ensure the completion of the installation in a professional and timely manner. The epoxy flooring company must be certified by the manufacturer, of the product to be used, to install the cementitious-urethane self-leveling flooring systems. A. Work Schedule: The Epoxy Flooring Contractor, after receipt of a Notice to Proceed, shall commence services in accordance with the schedule agreed upon in the Notice to Proceed. Any delay in the agreed upon schedule shall be approved by the Lawrence Public Schools' Facilities Director or his/her designee(s). B. Pre-installation Conference: Prior to installation of flooring, meet at the Project site with the LPS Facilities Director and/or his/her designee(s), Manufacturer's Representative (optional) and Contractor. Record discussions and furnish copy to each participant. Topics to be discussed shall include, but not be limited to: o Existing and new slab conditions o Owner's Testing Agency results of mandatory testing o Surface preparation o Required room temperatures o Ventilation) Material Specifications a) The Village of Posen would like to insulate and reinforce the existing section of membranous flat roofing on Village Hall, as well as all additional appurtences associated therein. The full scope of required work would be as follows: i. Clean existing roof of all debris and dispose of it off-site ii. Provide deck repairs, if necessary. Please include a supplemental unit price per square in your bid for providing this work. iii. Install an Elevate 1.0" Isocyanurate roof insulation (or equivalent) to the existing deck. iv. Install an Elevate 60 mil TPO (or equivalent). v. Install flashings on all projections according to above manufacturer's specifications. vi. Supply and install a pitch pan at all through roof piping, which will then be flashed and filled with flexible sealant. vii. Supply and install walk pads at all roof top mechanical units. viii. Fabricate and install 24-gauge prefinished steel counter flashing (equivalent or better) around the perimeter parapet walls. ix. Fabricate and install 24-gauge prefinished steel (equivalent or better) scuppers. x. Please included the following minimum warranties along with your bid: 1. 2-year contractor roofing guarantee 2. 20-year manufacturer guarantee o Step-by-step application procedures o Curing time and methods o Protection of completed Work C. Within twenty-four (24) hours after directed epoxy flooring and cove base have been installed, the Contractor will notify the Facilities Department by phone that the necessary epoxy flooring installation has been completed.
