The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, installation of fiber optic communications infrastructure including, but not limited to, fiber optic cable, conduit, pull boxes, splice closures, and patch panels, fiber optic splicing and testing, utility locating and potholing, and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in the Project Manual and all other work as specified in these Special Conditions, Technical Provisions, and as shown on the Plans. The project must be fully completed within 80 working days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. This project requires a valid California contractor's license for either Class "A", General Engineering Contractor and/or Class "C-10", Electrical Contractor. Each bidder must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. The bid proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check or bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Each subcontractor must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform work on public projects and must be included in the Subcontractor List form with the bid proposal, with required information about the subcontractor.
