Contractor agrees to bush hog, mow, and weed eat twice a month between May 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026. Contractor should weed eat areas that will not allow a mower. In addition, any large, downed limbs are to be removed by Contractor. Contractor must notify the Property Office during or after each mowing session and must invoice the Department of Transportation each month from May through October. Specific tracts along SR-126, Memorial Blvd. in Kingsport, TN, are detailed with instructions for each location regarding areas to be mowed, site distance requirements, and debris removal. A certificate of insurance for liability must be furnished before a bid can be placed. Any bid placed without a certificate of insurance for liability will not be accepted. Contractor must comply with all State laws and local ordinances to remove said improvements, salvage, and debris. All materials are to be properly disposed of in a permitted landfill; payment will not be ordered until manifests/receipts from a legally permitted landfill are furnished. Successful bidder will be responsible for compliance with all applicable safeguards, including placement of all necessary erosion controls during the work. Bidders must inspect tracts prior to placing a bid. Bidders are to submit bids in person or by mail; faxed or emailed bids cannot be accepted. The TDOT contract must be signed at the bid opening. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the decision of the Property Management Office will be final.
