Broadway Park, Block 729, Lots 21, 24, 25, 75, 77, 79, 80, 81, 83, 84 and 107 The proposed project consists, but is not limited to, demolition of existing site structures, retaining walls and walkways, lighting, landscaping, field work, and all site amenities. Bids must be in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City of Newark. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000) of the total bid, payable to the Owner, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder, they will enter into a contract with the Owner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award. Each Bidder shall submit with their proposal a completed Consent of Surety Form stating that the surety company will provide the required payment and performance bonds. Bidders are required by law to submit a Statement of Ownership Disclosure form setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest at all levels of ownership. All contractors named must possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time of proposal submission. At least twenty-five percent of the total contract bid price must be set aside to a Minority owned Business Enterprise plus an additional seven percent to a Women owned Business Enterprise, through various methods such as joint ventures, partnerships, subcontracts, or purchase of goods and services. Successful Bidders must attend a meeting with and obtain clearance from the City's Office of Affirmative Action prior to contract execution. The project is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including affirmative action requirements, and compliance with all relevant labor standards and debarment rules. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
