Sealed proposals are sought for the "FY2025 NJDOT Municipal Aid Program – Walnut Street & Jefferson Avenue Improvements" for the Borough of North Plainfield, Somerset County, New Jersey. All work under this contract must be performed between June 29, 2026 and August 31, 2026. Bidders must submit proposals on standard forms in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Mayor and Council, and must include a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized in New Jersey, and either a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000). The Borough reserves the right to require a comprehensive financial and experience statement from prospective bidders to confirm satisfactory completion of similar work. Only properly qualified bidders per the Contract Documents will be considered. The successful bidder must comply with Anti-Kickback Regulations (Copeland Act), Affirmative Action requirements, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, and Public Works Contractor Registration Act regulations. All bids must remain binding for 60 days after opening. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and adjust specified quantities as needed.
