Electronic proposals will be received for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the 2026 Mahoning Road Resurfacing Project in Palmyra Township, Portage and Mahoning Counties. Bidders are only required to submit one proposal, either electronically or by paper. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, and submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The project must be completed no later than August 28, 2026. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 is required. All contractors and subcontractors must, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division. The Portage County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Pavement repairs and Resurfacing work will take place on Mahoning Road (CH-73) from Williams Road to Cable Line Road. This is an approximately 4.26 Miles long section of Mahoning Road. Berming, temporary and permanent striping, and all other incidentals are included as part of this work.
