The work includes the construction of an additional 8'-6" diameter greensand plus vertical filters adjacent to the existing three filters within the filter building, with all associated piping, valves, electrical, controls, and revision of the chlorine feed system within the existing chlorine building, and other related items of construction. Prior to submitting a bid, vendors must register online with Central Auction House. Bids must include all required documents, including the Bid Form, Bid Security (a "Bid Guarantee" equivalent to 5% of the bid price), Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority, and meet licensing requirements for "Municipal and Public Works Construction". The successful contractor will be required to obtain performance and payment bonds each not less than 100% of the contract price. Construction must comply with the Louisiana Department Health program, American Iron and Steel requirements, Presidential Executive Orders related to equal opportunity and open competition, and Davis-Bacon wage rates. All contractors and subcontractors must adhere to applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including OSHA, historical preservation, and endangered species protection clauses. All iron and steel products used must be produced in the United States, subject to certain waivers. For additional requirements, refer to the Instructions to Bidders.
