Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Smiths Station, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Sealed proposals will be received for playground equipment for Smiths Station East Elementary and Smiths Station South Elementary in Smiths Station, Alabama. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Lee County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents will be required at contract signing. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of the Architect or at TuscaBlue. Bid documents are available for a deposit of $150.00 per set, refundable on the first two returned in good condition by bona fide bidders, with PDF copies available at no charge. Bid bonds must guarantee the bid for sixty days after the scheduled receipt of bids, with liability for withdrawal or failure to enter into contract within the specified time. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Architect. Bidders exceeding limits set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must show evidence of license on the outside of the bid envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held electronically. Nonresident bidders must provide a legal opinion regarding any preference laws granted to in-state business entities. Any questions concerning the pre-bid conference shall be directed to the Architect
