Val Verde County is accepting sealed bids from vendors to provide concrete material to construct an approximate 56,000 Sq Ft parking lot to include driveways, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks for the Robert “Bob” Chavira Sports Complex in Del Rio, Texas. Only the supply of ready mix concrete at 3,000 psi for the parking lot is required; no construction activities are included in this bid, as a separate bid has been prepared for labor. The material delivery site is located in Val Verde County, Texas, with the address to be determined. Bidders are instructed to submit one original copy of their bid, clearly marked on the outer envelope, to the provided address. All bids must be received before the specified deadline. Bidders are responsible for proper scaling, paper width, and length if downloading plans and specifications; errors due to improper scaling are the bidder's responsibility. A bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required for bids over $100,000. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check, bank draft, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds may be submitted. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety. Questions regarding the project must be submitted by the stated deadline. Val Verde County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities. Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days for review and qualification purposes. The successful bidder must comply with non-discrimination requirements and may not be debarred or excluded from federal assistance programs. Disadvantaged, minority, women, small businesses, and other applicable businesses are encouraged to submit bids.
