Upgrades to the existing O'Neal Library in Mountain Brook, AL. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of interior walls, fixtures and stairwell, and construction of improvements, including, but not limited to, rough carpentry, woodwork, casework, thermal and moisture protection, openings, floor preparation, new second floor opening for new stair, new monumental stair, gypsum board assemblies, plaster fabrication, tiling, ceilings, flooring, carpeting, painting, folding panel partitions, countertops, furniture wall systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, and electronic safety and security. The estimated cost of construction is $5,000,000. Plans describing the general scope of work are available at https://oneallibrary.org/plans. ** NOTE Formal invite will be avail to pre-qualified eligible contractors on April 16, 2026 after 2:00 p.m. ** Only General Contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to prequalification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project. Pre-qualification requirements are defined in an Invitation for Pre-qualification, which may be obtained from the Program Manager upon letterhead request or email transmission.
