The construction consists generally of street and utility reconstruction for the 300 Block of 14th Ave SW Sanitary Sewer Improvements - Project No. J7860. The work includes mobilization, removal of manhole, sawing bituminous pavement (full depth), removing water main, removing sanitary sewer pipe, removing bituminous pavement, select granular embankment, placing geotextile fabric type 5, aggregate base, type SP 9.5 wearing course mix, installing 15" PVC pipe sewer, sewer bypass pumping, traffic control, line painting, placing pavement message preformed thermo, constructing structure type 3 (6 ft to 10 ft deep), reconstructing existing sanitary sewer service, connecting into existing sanitary sewer structures, furnishing and installing polystyrene insulation, ductile iron pipe, water main fittings, and connecting to existing water main. Only registered plan holders are allowed to bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City of Rochester for at least 5% of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to enter into the contract if awarded. The Common Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are responsible for all present and future downloads, including addendums and their attachments. The Common Council will consider the bids in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center at 6:00 P.M. on May 18, 2026.
