The work consists of street and utility reconstruction for the 2nd Street SE and 16th Avenue SE Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Project (Project No. J7838). The approximate quantities of work include removing bituminous pavement, common excavation, stabilizing aggregate, installation of geotextile fabric, aggregate base, asphalt mix for wearing and non-wear courses, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway pavement, installation and reconnection of various sanitary sewer and water services, installation of pipe sewers and hydrants, and construction of different structure types. Only registered planholders are allowed to bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, for at least 5% of the bid amount, which is forfeited as liquidated damages should the bidder fail to enter into the contract.
