Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Sealed bids are invited for asphalt paving of 2.88 miles of Meadowbrook Rd (CR70), 1.10 miles of N Rodehaver Rd (CR57), and 0.10 miles of S Rodehaver Rd (CR57) with two layers of hot mix asphalt. The Engineer's Estimate of Construction Cost is $762,000. Each bid must include a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, letter of credit revocable only at the option of Athens County in the amount equal to 10% of the bid or a bond as specified by law. Each proposal must state the full name of the parties submitting and all persons interested. Bidders must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Contractors and subcontractors are expected to use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor as much as practicable, and comply with equal employment opportunity requirements under Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 and prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities as in the best interest of Athens County.
