Reference Number 0000420297 There are three sites that were identified recently that require urgent repair. For efficiency, and to attract bids, the sites have been combined into one project for the on-call contractor list. The three sites and WORK are listed below. Site 1: Cornerstar Flume at the intersection of Chambers Way and Briarwood Cir. The Cornerstar Flume is located on the corner of the intersection of Chambers Way and Briarwood Cir. The electrical conduits feeding the level sensor have collapsed. The Contractor shall install new conduit which will require core drilling into the existing structures or reusing the existing ports, if feasible. After installation, Aurora Tech Ops will install new wiring and reconnect the level sensor. Site 2: Manhole 02H-M12 in Smith Rd, west of Chambers Rd. During routine maintenance, it was discovered the flat top lid for the storm manhole 02H-M12 and 02J-M09, which is located in Smith Rd, has deteriorated. Reinforcement is exposed and asphalt can be seen. Based on field measurements, the original lid was placed too high and sits inside the roadway surface. The Contractor will excavate and install a new barrel section and flat top. Site 3: Piney Creek Lift Station (PCLS) Forcemain Crossover Valve Replacement The Piney Creek Lift Station (PCLS) Forcemain Crossover Valves are located off Ponderosa Trail, near Ontario Dr. This work generally includes removing and replacing in-kind (2) 24-inch plug valves and (2) 16-inch plug valves and (1) 16-inch temporary gate valve for a 16-inch plug valve. The City of Aurora has precured the replacement plug valves. This work also requires temporary hauling of sewage as the 16-inch forcemain will be offline.
