Site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Paris, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade municipal facility; and municipal facility.
The project consists of two phases. Phase A is the construction of a new 1-story entry lobby addition and an interior renovation of the right half of the existing building. After completion of the entry lobby addition and the interior renovation of the right half, and once the Owner has relocated from the Phase B area into the completed Phase A area, Phase B involves performing designated repairs in the left half of the existing building. The construction will include all necessary associated structural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Limited site and civil construction on the site around the building is included in the project scope to be completed during Phase A. Bids will be received for a general contract covering all trades. Bids must be prepared in compliance with the instructions to bidders. Bid security must be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days after opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain insurance and bonds as required. Printed and online procurement documents may be obtained from Lynn Imaging. Only bidders listed as 'planholders' with Lynn Imaging will receive bid addenda. Questions regarding procurement and contracting documents must be submitted in writing. By submitting a bid, bidders represent that they will begin work on receipt of the notice to proceed and complete the work within the contract time indicated. Attaining substantial completion of the work is subject to liquidated damages as stipulated in the Owner-Contractor agreement. Contractors will not be permitted to commence work until all required insurance is obtained and approved. Architects Action: Architect will review each RFI, determine action required, and respond. Allow ten working days for Architects response for each RFI. RFIs received by Architect after 1:00 p.m. will be considered as received the following working day
