Architect-engineer design services supporting federally funded road, bridge, trail, and related transportation projects administered by the Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division. Services include transportation planning, project scoping, preliminary and final design, and post-design support to prepare complete contract documents for construction. Engineering work encompasses project management, highway and roadway design, environmental compliance, geotechnical engineering, bridge and other structural design, hydraulic and hydrologic engineering, surveying and mapping, right-of-way and utility services, and related technical support. Projects primarily involve improvements to low-volume and low-speed facilities ranging from 3R (resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation) to full 4R reconstruction, and may also include bridges, trails, and parking facilities. Work is typically performed in environmentally sensitive areas requiring context-sensitive design approaches, with project settings that vary widely in topography and climate, including coastal, mountainous, desert, and plains regions. The effort supports multiple federally funded programs, with the majority of work funded through the Federal Lands Transportation Program and Federal Lands Access Program under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The Government anticipates awarding multiple full-service Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracts for architect-engineer services, with individually negotiated task orders issued over a five-year performance period and a combined contract capacity not to exceed $60 million. Engineering services will be performed in support of projects for Federal Land Management Agencies and other federal and tribal partners.
