Improvements to Washington Avenue (C.R. 529) between Cumberland Road and Lakeview Avenue in Piscataway Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Bids must be submitted on standard bid proposal forms furnished by the County in the manner designated and required by the specifications. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Board of County Commissioners of Middlesex County, and clearly marked with the project name. The sealed bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty for not less than 10% of the amount bid and not to exceed $20,000, which may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond from an insurer authorized in New Jersey. A consent of surety letter from a responsible bonding company must be included. Bidders and subcontractors must submit proof of registration with the NJ State Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Bidders must comply with affirmative action and prevailing wage requirements. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review. After award notification, but before signing the contract, the lowest responsible bidder must submit Manning Table Form AA201 to the Affirmative Action Office, with proof provided to the County. Failure to submit may result in rescinding the award. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable law.
