Sealed proposals are requested online for the 2026 Tar & Chip project for MS 944. The work involves providing all necessary equipment, labor, and installation of approximately 22,317 square yards of Tar & Double Chip. The contractor is responsible for furnishing and placing a bituminous seal coat as specified in PennDOT Pub 447, Section MS-0340-0005, and an asphalt fog seal for asphalt sealcoat as per PennDOT Pub 408 Section 472. Contractors are instructed to contact the Township Representative prior to bidding for the exact work location. The successful bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. The contract is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive immaterial defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities, and make an award in the best interest of the Township. Contractor to furnish and placement of Bitumnous Seal coat as per PennDOT Pub 447, Section MS0340-0005 double application and Asphalt Fog Seal for Asphalt Seal Coats as per PennDOT Pub 408, Section 472.
