Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Montello, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
In general, the work consists of: Replacing the existing lock, which consists of stacked stone walls and a multi-layer wood planking floor with a reinforced concrete floor and walls. The lock walls will have an upper stone veneer cut from existing limestone blocks that make up the current lock walls. The Project is located along the Upper Fox River in the City of Montello, Marquette County, Wisconsin and consists of the following: Installing upstream and downstream cofferdams and dewatering Removing the existing lock structure wood plank floor and majority of the stacked stone walls. Leaving a portion of the existing lock wall beneath STH 22 to protect bridge abutments Salvaging and cutting select limestone blocks Placing reinforced concrete floor and walls Removing excess materials and backfilling Placing a limestone veneer along the upper portion of the lock walls Installing water level sensors and automating the four slide gates Removing and replacing the vault toilet Removing excess materials and backfilling Milling and repaving the asphalt parking lot. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
