Lincoln Public Schools is soliciting bids for the Lux Middle School Reroof project. Bidding documents and plans are available at A & D Technical Supply for a refundable deposit made out to Lincoln Public Schools, and an additional non-refundable check to A & D Technical Supply is required if shipping is requested. Deposits will be refunded if all documents are returned in good condition within 14 calendar days after the bid opening. Plans can also be viewed at the Lincoln Builders Bureau. All bids must be submitted on the designated LPS bid form. A Bid Bond is required as bid security; cashier's checks or certified checks are not acceptable. Bids are due at the LPS Operations Department and will be open to the public. A strongly recommended pre-bid meeting will be held at Lux Middle School. SCOPE OF NOTICE: The work involves all construction indicated on the drawings and specifications, included but not limited to the following: The scope of work includes the reroof of approximately 125,500 sq ft of existing roofing and roof joist reinforcing at the Lux Middle School building, at 7800 High Street, Lincoln, NE. Demolition includes removal of existing EPDM and modified bitumen roof systems, including membrane, insulation, flashing and ballast removal. Renovation includes installation of 60 mil fully adhered EPDM roof membrane, poly-iso insulation, EPDM and sheet metal flashings. The project also includes interior work to add steel roof joist reinforcing and associated ceiling removal, reinstallation (and repair if needed), as shown on the drawings, specifications and other contract documents for the project. Question Deadline 04/30/2026 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request which must reach LPS, the Architect (if any), and the Construction Manager (if any) at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids.
