The Office of Community Development is seeking bids for improvements to decorative street lights at various downtown locations. The scope of work includes an initial assessment of all 199 non-functioning lights and approximately 15 day-burning lights owned by the City. The contractor must submit a report detailing proposed replacement products/materials, quantities, locations, unit prices, and anticipated costs for approval. After agreement, the contractor will install LED lighting retrofit kits or LED replacement bulbs, replace light heads, repair or replace decorative street light poles, and perform associated electrical work to ensure all lights are functional. The work must comply with Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws and relevant procurement statutes. Minority and women participation is encouraged, and the city reserves the right to waive informality or reject proposals if in the public interest.
