Furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of: Project Name: Richmond Correctional Institution- Roof Replacement Location: 1573 McDonald Church Road, Hoffman, NC 28347 SCO Project ID: 25- 29270-01 Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform to perform the quality roof recover and repairs of the Richmond Correctional Institute Building as shown on the Drawings and as described in the specifications. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. Base Bid Areas, Low slope roofs (Education Building, Coltrane, Dining, Aggrey, and Bost) i Perform water testing and video inspection of roof drains prior to any work; submit records to Owner and Designer and report any blockages or impediments ii Remove the existing low-slope roof, including gravel aggregates, membranes, insulation layers (some of which are wet), and loose vapor barriers, down to the structural deck. iii Remove existing metal flashings, and miscellaneous items, and discard. iv Patch and repair any existing damage to the concrete deck prior to new work and prepare surfaces. v Install new barrier board at metal decks. vi Install a new vapor retarder. vii Install a new flat polyisocyanurate insulation and slope tapered insulation system and cover board. Provide layout plan for all roof areas. viii Install fire-rated sealant around pipes that penetrate the concrete deck. ix Install a two-ply modified asphalt membrane system and flashings. x Install new drains components. xi Create new and adjust existing opening for the overflow scuppers at parapets. xii Install new walkway. xiii Install new sheet metal parapet copings. xiv Furnish and install any miscellaneous items required to complete the project as outlined in the specifications and drawings. a. Remove existing roof asphalt shingle and underlayment down to the concrete deck b. Remove and discard, membrane flashing, sheet metal and gravel edge metal and gutter systems. c. Prepare roof areas to receive new plywood. Patch existing concrete deck as necessary at spalled areas. d. Install new plywood, ice and water shield and new synthetic underlayment. e. Install new architectural shingles. f. Install new flashings g. Install new gutter and downspout h.
