Sealed bids are invited for a lump-sum contract for the FS Haas Pavilion Roof Leak Repair and Re-Cover (Project No. 12048A) at the University of California, Berkeley, Alameda County. The work includes leak repairs, installation of a new roof recover system, and quality control testing for the Walter A. Haas, Jr. Pavilion, with thermal imaging survey provided for targeted repairs. Bidders must submit a Contractor’s Special Statement of Experience on their letterhead documenting successful completion as prime contractor of at least three and up to five comparable projects, each with a construction value of $1,000,000 or greater, completed in the last five years. These projects must be within the nine Bay Area counties. The statement must include for each project the project name, address, owner’s name, contract value, total change order value, completion date, owner’s representative's contact information, and a description of how the project is comparable. All roofing projects on UC campuses and National Labs completed or ongoing in the past five years must also be listed. Bidding documents are available online. Bidders must register and request access as instructed to obtain bid documents and submit bids. Only those attending the entire mandatory pre-bid conference and site tour will be allowed to bid. Bids must be submitted online and accompanied by a bid bond delivered within two business days of the bid deadline. The successful bidder must hold a current "B" General Contractor’s license at the time of bid submission and comply with all applicable labor, wage, and nondiscrimination requirements, including compliance with the California Labor Code and Department of Industrial Relations registration.
