Each bidder and all subcontractors must be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and must be licensed to perform the work specified in the contract documents under License Classification: C-8. Bids must strictly conform to the contract documents. A list of designated subcontractors must be submitted with the bid as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. Bids must be accompanied by security of not less than ten percent of the total bid price in an approved form. Prevailing wage rates apply per California Labor Code. Formal prequalification is required for certain contractors and MEP subcontractors, with a list of prequalified subcontractors provided five days prior to bid opening. Bidders must ensure all relevant MEP subcontractors are prequalified. Bidders may not withdraw bids for ninety days after bid opening.
