This project involves the relocation of two parallel 54-inch water transmission mains -- the Otay 2nd and 3rd Pipelines -- within the Otay Ranch Village 8 East development in Chula Vista, just west of SR-125. The contractor will furnish and install approximately 5,300 linear feet of 54" CML/C steel pipe (split between the two lines), make four connections to the existing live pipelines, install 13 butterfly valves (4 furnish-and-install, 9 owner-supplied), and construct associated appurtenances including access manholes, blow-offs, and cathodic protection systems including a deep well anode bed and rectifier. Concrete encasement is required at select locations.
