Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Sealed bids will be received for supplying all labor and materials necessary for construction of Walking Track Improvement in Northside Park. The work generally consists of asphalt paving and related items. The Contractor is responsible to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings referenced. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Each Bidder must write their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their proposal. Proposals must be submitted sealed and deposited prior to the designated time. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the opening. Each Bidder must deposit with their proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to five percent of their bid, payable to the City of Philadelphia, as bid security. The successful bidder is required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. Contract Specifications/Drawings may be obtained from Allen & Hoshall free of charge by registering on their website. Documents are also available for inspection at the City Clerk's Office and at Allen and Hoshall's office in Jackson, Mississippi. The project is funded through a Recreational Trails Program Grant administered by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fishers, and Parks. The Contractor must conform to project requirements. Minority and women's business enterprises are invited to bid and are encouraged to inquire regarding subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material, and supply needs. The City of Philadelphia is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will not discriminate in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities. The work generally consists of asphalt paving and related items. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein.
