Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Architectural and engineering design services are sought to support a construction project to replace roofs on the 11th floor of the main building at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Services include site visits, field investigations, studies, and user interviews necessary to prepare complete design drawings, technical specifications, and detailed cost estimates. The scope encompasses all required disciplines and trades to fully support the roof replacement construction effort. The design effort includes preparation of narratives, studies, phasing plans, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and as-built documents. The architect-engineer shall provide design drawings, specifications, and Independent Government Cost Estimates at the 35 percent (schematic design), 65 percent (design development), 95 percent (construction documents), and final bid document stages for VA review and approval. The design must comply with Infection Control and Interim Life Safety Measures requirements. Construction Period Services will also be required throughout the construction phase to support the Government during execution of the project. The total period of performance for all design-related work is 297 calendar days, inclusive of VA review durations. Location: Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64128. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
