Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work consists of repainting the interior and exterior metal surfaces of the existing 1,000,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, including surface preparation, collection and disposal of surface preparation debris, painting, safety improvements, precast concrete vault installation, and other miscellaneous items of work. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft payable to the Village of Lake Bluff for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or court review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. Bid prices should not include the cost of any Illinois State, municipal, or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, or Service Use Tax. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities or technicalities in any proposal, and to accept the proposal which it deems to be in the best interests of the Village.
