Union County Public Schools seeks quotes/informal bids for the Union Elementary School Kitchen Renovation. The scope of work includes: abandoning the existing waste water and water supply for the kitchen equipment 36" below grade; verifying that kitchen equipment is operating prior to moving it into the cafeteria during construction; removal of floor tile and base in the kitchen and adjacent bathroom; cutting a 12-inch wide trench through the concrete floor and excavating to the required depth as indicated on the drawings; installation of new wastewater and water supply lines as indicated on the drawings, including new drains, floor sinks, and grease trap, and testing all new plumbing pipes; backfilling the trench, installing stone, vapor barrier, and concrete flooring; installation of flowable fill and floor leveling and preparation for new fluid flooring; installing fluid flooring with a 6" base turned up the wall; and reinstalling all kitchen equipment in their original location and testing the equipment. Bids must be submitted via email as specified. Attendance at the mandatory prebid meeting is required. It is the responsibility of the bidder to familiarize themselves with all aspects of the project. All communication and questions must be directed to the Procurement Lead as stated, and questions must be submitted by the specified deadline. UCPS reserves the right to determine the method of award or to reject all bids.
