South Broward Hospital District d/b/a Memorial Healthcare System is seeking to establish a pool of qualified healthcare general contracting firms licensed to work in the State of Florida, with offices located within Broward, Palm Beach or Miami-Dade County. These firms will establish qualifications and eligibility to submit bids under a continuing five-year contract to provide ongoing general contracting services for individual healthcare-related construction and building renovation projects, which may include hospital, nursing home, and medical office projects with construction costs ranging from $0 to $7.5 million. Approved general contractors will submit sealed bids for individual projects and, upon award, provide general contracting services including labor, materials, equipment, and incidental services necessary to complete projects. These may include, but are not limited to, new construction, repairs, and renovations to MHS facilities, as well as all associated improvements and infrastructure, such as civil and sitework, upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, life safety upgrades, utilities, landscaping, lighting, walkways, pedestrian bridges, parking, renovations/expansions to central energy systems, medical gas delivery systems, building automation, low voltage and communications systems, security and access control systems, and interior design upgrades. Any individual project may include expansion of existing facilities and structures. Instructions require proposers to formally register by email to receive further details, supplemental information, and addenda. Proposers should not contact any MHS staff other than the designated contact person, and all proposals must be submitted by the stated deadline. Proposers are responsible for timely submission and all queries must be submitted in writing as outlined in the instructions. MHS reserves the right to modify, reject, or abandon the RFQ at its discretion.
