Sealed bids are requested for the White Oak Park Boat Launch Repairs and Improvements Project (Bid #DB-2026-FM-103). Only contractors licensed for the classification of 'Building Construction' will be accepted. Bid security equal to 5% of the base bid and all alternates must accompany all bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bids are to be plainly marked on the envelope as indicated. Preference will be given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal. No bids may be withdrawn for forty-five days after receipt. All applicable requirements under Louisiana statutes are to be followed. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury/Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: The project consists of repairs and improvements to the existing boat and kayak launch facilities at White Oak Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Work includes demolition and removal of the existing boat launch and existing boat dock structures, followed by dredging at the base of the boat launch to increase navigation depth and maneuvering space. The project also includes construction of a new boat launch and a new timber boat dock system, including a timber walkway over the water connecting to a second timber dock. ADA improvements will be provided through construction of a new ADA-accessible sidewalk connecting the dock facilities to a new ADA parking area. Additional work includes installation of a new kayak launch adjacent to the boat launch, construction of a new concrete parking area, improvements to an existing stone-paved roadway segment by replacing it with concrete paving, and associated site improvements including lighting support and landscaping throughout the project limits.
