Sealed proposals are requested for improvements in El Dorado, Kansas, covering the following approximate quantities: 124 LF of 2'-6 Type 1 Curb & Gutter (Modified 7" Tall), 113 LF of 2'-6" Type 2 Curb & Gutter, 89.2 SY of 6" Reinforced Concrete, 18.6 SY of 4" Concrete, removal of existing concrete and excavation (1 LS), and traffic control (1 LS). Plans and specifications are available from the City Engineer's office. Each proposal must include a proposal guarantee equal to 10 percent of the bid. The successful bidder must provide performance, statutory, and a one-year maintenance bond for 100 percent of the contract price, and submit a proposed start date within 15 days of contract award. The project must be fully completed in 20 working days and no later than August 31, with liquidated damages of $400.00 per working day over that period. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for any reason.
