BTU Jack Creek Substation Construction Project Electronic bids to be submitted by 2:00 PM CST, Thursday, May 14, 2026. Mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit required. The site is Jack Creek Substation, just west of 14500 Jack Creek Rd, Bryan, Texas 77808. QuestionQuestions or requests for clarifications from bidders will be accepted until 5PM, Thursday, May 7, 2026. Questions shall be submitted via the "Questions" tab of this bid on the Brazos Valley eMarketplace. Earliest Bid Award June 2026 GENERAL INFORMATION Within these documents, the terms Engineer, Owner, Resident Project Representative, and Owner’s Representative are used interchangeably. All submittals intended for these three during construction of this project shall be submitted to: Mark Robertson, BTU Construction Manager, 2200 Fountain Avenue, Bryan, TX 77801; PO Box 1000, Bryan, TX 77805-1000, office phone 979-821-5782, cell phone 979-676- 7537, or by email: mrobertson@btutilities.com PROJECT SUMMARY: This distribution upgrade at BTU’s Jack Creek Substation will consist of the addition of two 15kV breakers to an existing distribution structure, the demo of two control house relay panels, the installation and commissioning of two relay panels, and the relocation of existing COMMS equipment. ADDITIONAL PROJECT OUTLINE: The key points of the project are as follows: o Adding two 15kV breakers to an existing distribution structure for use as a feeder and a maintenance breaker. o Yard work includes new conduits and foundations, and installation of the breakers. o Installation of the feeder getaway will be handled by BTU distribution. o In the control house, the preexisting TR231 panel (Panel 7) will be gutted, and the preexisting 8020 Panel (Panel 2) will be removed. o The new TR231 Panel will be installed in the Panel 2 location, and a new feeder panel will be installed in the Panel 9 location for the new feeder and maintenance breaker. o The existing communications equipment from Panel 2 will be relocated to Panel 0, with the exception of the SEL-2030. o All serial connections to the SEL-2030 shown in the attached drawing set will be redirected to the SEL-3530. The existing SEL-2030 will not be reused, and shall be returned to BTU. See the drawings for further project details. Note: References to Kurten and Dansby in the drawings are synonymous and will be reconciled in the AsBuilt set to reflect Kurten as the correct reference
