Renovation of a municipal facility in Findlay, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids are requested for renovations to an existing building purchased by Hancock County Board of Commissioners, which will be used to relocate the Hancock County Veterans Service Office and the Hancock County Board of Elections, as well as to provide additional space for the Hancock County Sheriff. The renovations are intended to accommodate these three tenants and address their security needs. Bidders must purchase or examine detailed plans and specifications from Peterman Architectural Services, Inc. for a fee, with digital copies available at no charge. Any discrepancies or doubts about the documents must be submitted in writing to the architect, and all clarifications must be requested at least three days before the bid due date. A non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held at the project location. Proposals must be submitted using the provided forms, with the name of all interested parties included. Bids must be sealed, properly marked, and delivered by mail or in person; electronic submissions are not accepted. Each bid requires a Guaranty Bond for the full amount or a certified/cashier's check or letter of credit for 10% of the bid, as well as a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond per Ohio law. Bidders must provide evidence of experience on similar projects and are encouraged to use Ohio products and labor. Compliance with prevailing wage rates and equal employment opportunity requirements is mandatory. Successful bidders must execute a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount and provide an affidavit regarding delinquent personal property taxes. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The County reserves the right to reject any or part of any bid or to act in their best interest. The Hancock County Board of Commissioners purchased this existing building to relocate the Hancock County Veterans Service Office and the Hancock County Board of Elections, as well as provide additional space for the Hancock County Sheriff.
